Is it permissible for a woman to travel without a mahram, knowing that her father has passed away and her sisters?
Or her brothers, one is traveling and the other is unable to travel with her.
She is sitting alone at home and wants to travel, she is fifty-seven years old.
Obeying Allah is greater than traveling, and praise be to Allah, now Allah the Exalted has made maharim, not just a mahram.
Maharim, meaning her brothers are not available, her brothers' sons, her sisters' sons, her paternal uncles, her maternal uncles.
Okay.
There are many alternatives, many alternatives, so if she doesn't find anyone, she should stay in her own land and not travel.
And praise be to Allah, Kuwait is nice, really good, there are places to go, nice places to enjoy yourself and so on, without having to travel.
So if she wants to travel, she should look for a mahram. If her brothers are not available, it's better for her, and I've said this many times.
Men must have taqwa of Allah regarding their female relatives, not just their wives.
It's not just my wife and kids, my wife and kids, my wife and kids—look, women are complaining.
Women are complaining, saying our brothers are not available for us, our brothers' sons are not available for us, our sisters' sons are not available for us.
Our maternal uncles are not available for us, our paternal uncles are not available for us.
So I say: fear Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, regarding your female relatives.
It's not just your wife and daughter—your mother, your sister, your maternal aunt, your paternal aunt, your brother's daughter, your sister's daughter—take care of them.
So why is she complaining? Why? Where are her brothers? Where are her sisters? Her brothers' children, her sisters' children.
They don't take her, they don't bring her maternal uncles or paternal uncles sometimes.
So fear Allah regarding these women, meaning, you should notice. she doesn't have to say it, it's not necessary for her to tell you, you should offer.
You offer it to her, say to her, "Come on, so-and-so, would you like to travel?"
Would you like to go somewhere, would you like this or that? You suggest it. Maybe she's shy with you, maybe she feels like you're not available, maybe you make her feel, one way or another, that you're not available for her.
So let us fear Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, regarding our female relatives, especially when it comes to Hajj.
