She asks about the supplications that are said after prayer, are they specific to the obligatory prayers or.? The supplications after prayer are only for the obligatory prayers, as is clear from the narration of Thawban in Sahih Muslim.
So we say, when a person finishes the obligatory prayer, he says the prescribed supplications, saying: I seek Allah's forgiveness, I seek Allah's forgiveness, I seek Allah's forgiveness. O Allah, You are peace and from You comes peace.
And so on until the end of the supplication. This is for the obligatory prayers. As for the regular sunnah prayers, as well as night prayer, witr prayer, duha prayer, and the greeting of the mosque,
and the prayer of istikhara and other prayers that have a specific reason or are unrestricted acts of worship, there are no prescribed supplications after them.
Some scholars say that it is recommended to seek forgiveness after these prayers as a way to make up for any shortcomings and as a precaution, and they use some general evidences for this.
So we say, regarding this matter, there is no specific evidence for it, only general statements.
