She asks, what is the best act of worship that a woman on her period can do? And is it permissible for her to read the Quran? May Allah reward you with good.
We say regarding the actions of a woman on her period, we say the woman on her period.
She can remember Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, with all types of remembrance, and she can also read the Quran.
She can also sit, for example, in the prayer area and remember Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, whether that is during the times of prayer or at other times.
Without it being a regular or fixed act for a specific purpose, and for this reason, the Prophet ﷺ, as came in the narration of Umm Atiyya, when he instructed regarding the Eid prayer.
When the Prophet ﷺ instructed that women be brought out, as well as those in seclusion and those on their period.
He said: Let them witness the gathering and keep away from the prayer area. Let them witness the gathering.
And the goodness and the supplication of the Muslims. What is meant by this is that if she is menstruating, she attends the mosque and the prayer area, then she makes du'a.
Then she makes du'a, and when the imam makes du'a, she says ameen, glorifies Allah, and declares His oneness, but she does not pray.
But. some women think that if they are menstruating or in postpartum bleeding, they must distance themselves from Allah the Mighty and Majestic in all acts of worship. We say this is a mistake.
She is forbidden from fasting and forbidden from prayer.
As for other acts of worship, she should also be keen to make up for what she missed by increasing in remembrance of Allah, glorification, and declaring His oneness, and she will be rewarded for that. And Allah knows best.
