If a person believes, does he become better than Jibril and the angels in general?
And he thinks highly of himself.
There is a difference of opinion among the scholars: are the righteous among humans better than the righteous among the angels? Not just those who believe, but the righteous and pious.
The difference among the scholars is: who is better, Muhammad ﷺ or Jibril? Now, does this person become better than Jibril?
This approach is not correct, but the point is that the discussion among the scholars is: are the righteous among humans, the pious, the pure worshippers,
Are these people with taqwa better than the righteous—
There is a difference of opinion regarding the angels, but it is a difference that has no practical consequence. Knowing it does not benefit, and being ignorant of it does not harm.
So leaving these matters alone is better than getting involved in them.
