In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Honorable Sheikh, may Allah reward you with the best on our behalf.
A man has two wives: the first is obedient and the second is defiant. He asks: Should I leave the second one and stay with the first until she learns her lesson?
The second one.
She is stubborn, which is considered appropriate.
If she is stubborn in what she is obligated to do, and Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: As for those whose disobedience you fear.
This is the first level.
And abandon them in their beds, this is the second level.
And strike them, and the verse is general.
While someone who has two wives or just one wife, he may abandon the other.
The agreement continues until his situation improves.
And if he sees a better way than abandonment, then that is better.
But as the poet says: If there is nothing left but to ride the spears.
So what choice does the one in need have except to go through with it?
