He asks, saying: Honorable Sheikh, we have learned the importance of seeking knowledge, so we were keen on that, but we were shocked by reality.
Life is full of contradictions.
Then something is built in a year, and other means destroy it in a single night.
So the youth in Islamic societies grow up with contradictions; they read the verse about hijab in the morning,
and then see what contradicts it in the evening. So what is our duty regarding this?
This is the trial and the test.
A time at the end of days, in this time, at the end of days.
Alienation from the religion.
So patience is necessary, as the Prophet ﷺ informed us, a time will come upon the people.
The one who is patient with his religion is like someone holding onto hot coals, and he ﷺ said: Islam began as something strange and will return to being strange as it began, so glad tidings to the strangers.
Narrated in the authentic collection, and others added: If. strangers, who are the strangers? He said: Those who set things right when the people have become corrupt.
They are the ones who correct what the people have corrupted of my sunnah.
And in the hadith of Abu Tha'labah: for the one who acts upon it is the reward of fifty.
If a Messenger from among us or from him accepted from you.
And the reasons for that are the scarcity of supporters and helpers.
And the abundance of dangers and paths, and the many ways of misguidance and those who call to it.
For this reason, the one who is patient at the end of times, holding onto knowledge and action, will have the reward of fifty of the sahaba, like the reward of fifty.
Because they found helpers at the beginning of the coming of Islam.
And during the time when Islam was strong, and the Muslims were active, and Islam and the Muslims were powerful, and there were many supporters and the enemies were defeated. But at the end of times, it is the opposite: there are many enemies.
And many callers to misguidance, and few supporters, and few who help the people of truth, while there are many doubts. This is a severe struggle between truth and falsehood at the end of times.
So you must be patient with what you have learned. If you know the truth from what you have learned, and then see what opposes it, you praise Allah for the insight.
And you praise Allah for making you among those who know this truth.
Then you do what you can to forbid evil and call to good.
Until you put into practice what you have learned. This includes matters of belief and matters of practice.
This brings great rewards and many good deeds for those who are patient and seek reward from Allah, and it also increases his insight and knowledge, for when he faces contradictions, it helps him.
Gaining insight through knowledge and understanding, and addressing doubts to remove and eliminate them.
And the means that help towards the truth and guide to it, so that he can spread them among the people and call them.
