On school days, sometimes my father prevents me from going, telling me I have to study. What should I do? Should I obey him or go?
No, instead, make him the one who takes you there.
How? By putting effort into your studies.
So that your father sees that memorizing the Qur'an is what makes you more diligent in your studies, if your father sees that.
That memorizing the Qur'an is affecting your studies.
And your grades start to drop, yes, he will stop you. He'll say, you can catch up with memorizing the Quran in the summer or something, now it's about school, passing and failing, and your future and so on.
But if you are serious, work hard in your studies.
So that you don't fall short, tell your father, say if you see me falling short in.
If I lose a grade or two or something, stop me.
But on the contrary, I will work even harder to get better grades and memorize the Quran, so it's up to you.
Your father, inshaAllah, is a Muslim, meaning he won't stop you from the Noble Quran, but he fears that you might exaggerate in memorizing the Quran and neglect.
Your studies, and Allah is the One whose help is sought.
