He says: Is the soul the same as the nafs? That is the question, meaning is the soul the same as the nafs or not? Allah knows best, but they say.
If it is in the body, it is called the soul.
When it leaves, it is the nafs. Allah takes the nafs at the time of its death and those that have not died.
In their sleep, so as long as it is in the body, it is called the soul.
When it leaves the body, it is the nafs, and Allah knows best.
But it is one; the soul is the nafs, but when is it called soul and when is it called.
Some say it is called "nafs" when it has left the body, and when it is within the body, it is.
"ruh", and knowledge is with Allah, Verheven en Hoog is Hij.
