The weevil in dates, is it impure, and what about insect droppings? The weevil found in dates is not impure, and it has not been established from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to clean the dates, yes.

It goes back to the person, it depends on the person. As for itself, it is not impure, since it does not have flowing blood. But we say, regarding this matter, from the perspective of what a person finds repulsive, if a person finds it repulsive, it is up to him.

For example, there are some crumbs that are from the dates themselves, formed from the dates. In themselves, there is no problem for a person, there is no problem for a person if he wants to remove them.

So this matter is up to him, this matter is up to him, he can remove it.

What mixes with the dates of clear, obvious impurity, that is, what has flowing blood, and also clear filth.

The sharia does not encourage such things, rather it warns against them and calls for purification, cleanliness, and cleaning food, and for this reason it came.

The Prophet ﷺ used the toothstick frequently, as well as performing wudu and washing the hands, and other similar actions in many situations, all of which indicate the principle of purity.

But what some people do by being excessive in this, for example in cleaning,

dates and opening them and overdoing it, we say there is no need for this and the sharia does not instruct it, as long as the person does it without falling into obsessive doubts.

If his intention is to be cautious, we say: there is no harm in that, and there is flexibility in this matter. And Allah knows best. May Allah reward you with goodness.
