May Allah reward you, dear shaykh. There is an elderly man who passed away, and after he died, he had two wives. One of the wives gave birth to a son, and the second wife is infertile and has not had children since he married her.
Does the son end the waiting period for his second mother, meaning the second wife? Does he end her 'iddah?
If a man has two wives, one of them is pregnant and he dies,
and the pregnant one gives birth after, for example, a week,
or on the same day, then her waiting period is over, and her mourning period is over.
The second wife remains until she completes four months and ten days, and if she is pregnant, then until she gives birth. She might not give birth until after ten months.
The important thing is that each one has her own specific ruling.
