He says: I am a married man and I suffer from my mother's dominance over my wife, as she forces her to visit her every day and sit with her.
In gatherings with my brothers and in-laws, knowing that my wife is committed and does not want to mix, and she is busy seeking knowledge, and she fulfills my mother's right by visiting her when she is free.
And so that she is alone without mixing with men, but my mother refuses that and wants the whole family to gather at the same time.
Is it my mother's right to force my wife according to Islamic law, and what is your advice on this?
By Allah, this is your role.
Where are you in this matter?
This is your mother forcing, you are supposed to intervene.
Here the man's character shows, the husband is supposed to be the one who prevents, meaning he gets his wife out of embarrassment.
And he says to my mother: I do not allow it.
For my wife to sit with our in-laws or with.
My brothers, and the conversation includes laughter and joking and so on, I do not allow that. The husband is supposed to have a role here.
It is not right for his mother to pressure his wife and he stays silent and uninvolved, putting his wife in an embarrassing situation.
On the contrary, when you tell him, the husband says nothing.
On the contrary, this is the husband's role here; he must intervene.
He should confront his mother and say, I forbid her.
He should talk things over with his mother and remove the embarrassment from his wife as long as he is satisfied with her way.
And with her commitment, it is not permissible to put her
in embarrassment; rather, he should remove the embarrassment from her. And Allah knows best.
