The sheikh's question: Is it permissible for a woman to lead others in prayer?

Yes, it is permissible for women to pray in congregation.

But is this a sunnah?

For them, or is it simply allowed? Some people think it is a sunnah.

And some scholars say it is allowed, and the more correct view is that it is allowed.

Because the sunnah is not explicit about this.
