The people of the Sunnah affirm the meaning of the attributes in His saying: "It flows under Our eyes."

So the attribute of the eye is affirmed for Allah, but we combine affirming the meaning and not interpreting it away in this verse; there is no interpretation.

Allah, the Exalted, is not a place for occurrences; it is not possible for an attribute to enter the eye of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.

But this is what is understood in common usage: it flows under Our care, just as He said: "So that you may be made under My.."

"My eye" means under My care and protection, this is what is meant. When you say to someone, "You are under my eye," it does not mean you enter my eye or I put you in my eye; it is not understood that he will come and sit.

But does the ship sail in the eye of Allah? No, it does not sail in the eye of Allah. Allah is not a place for events.
