Some people criticize those who are committed to Islam and famous Quran reciters, saying they shorten their garments, yet at the same time they drive luxurious cars and wear expensive watches.
So where is the humility and the religion? Enjoying some blessings in a halal way.
Does that diminish their worth in any way? Say, who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants, and the good things of provision?
These reciters, or mosque imams, or students of knowledge are human, just like you.
He dresses well, maybe some of what he wears are gifts, for example, so there is nothing wrong with that if it is halal.
From his own money or if he received a gift, he did not steal it or cheat to get it or anything like that, the point is to enjoy.
With these blessings, with a comfortable ride, with a spacious house.
More than one wife, with beautiful clothes, what prevents him? A man asked the Prophet ﷺ after he forbade arrogance.
He said, O Messenger of Allah, a man likes to have nice shoes and nice clothes, does this count as arrogance?
The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah is beautiful.
He loves beauty. Allah is beautiful and loves beauty.
Arrogance is rejecting the truth and looking down on people, and short garments.
It's not a flaw, on the contrary, it's beautiful. A short garment is better than a long one. The long garment drags dirt with it.
The short garment is cleaner, so if the garment is short and revealing, what's the problem?
Its appearance is beautiful and so on, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and Allah is the one whose help is sought.
