A man says he regularly recites the morning and evening adhkar, yet he is still harmed by the devils. He continues with the morning and evening adhkar. This is mentioned about one of the sahaba, may Allah be pleased with them.

I forgot his name now. He said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: Whoever says, "In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or the sky can cause harm," three times, nothing will harm him.

His hand was paralyzed.

From a scorpion sting, so someone asked him: What about your hand? He would say to him.

Meaning, the words of the Messenger ﷺ are not true, as you claim. He replied: May Allah disgrace you, I tell you the Messenger of Allah said this and you ask me about my hand? By Allah, on that day I forgot the dhikr.

On that day I forgot the dhikr, so what happened to me happened. The point is, sometimes even when a person remembers Allah, his mind is not present.

Especially when someone gets used to something, you find him saying it without feeling anything.
