Someone says he made a vow to pray two units after every obligatory prayer.
First, this is a vow to do something forbidden, and it should not be fulfilled, because after Asr prayer is prohibited, and after Fajr prayer is prohibited.
So he can only apply this to Dhuhr, Maghrib, and Isha.
And it is not allowed for him to apply it to Asr and Fajr.
This is the first point. The second point is that he must fulfill it, as long as he made the vow. A vow is obligating oneself to something that is not obligatory.
He obligated himself, so he must fulfill it. He should pray, and not miss the regular sunnah prayers. He can pray them and then pray the regular sunnah, or pray the regular sunnah and then pray them. He obligated himself, so brothers, honestly, my advice is, no one should make vows.
The Prophet forbade making vows and said: It is only taken from the stingy.
A person should avoid making vows, especially since most people make vows as a form of bargaining.
The idea of bargaining, and this should not be the case.
Dealing with Allah in this way.
O Allah, if You heal my sick relative, I will fast two days. But Allah does not need these two days.
This is between people, yes, like when I say to Sa'dun, for example.
I say to him: Sa'doun, if you give me your car, okay, for a week, I'll wash it for you every day, so in return he thinks about his own benefit.
He thinks, yes or no, is there a benefit in return, I give him something, he gives me something. Allah, the Exalted, does not need us for us to say, if You heal my sick one, I will pray.
If my child succeeds, I will give charity, Allah does not need charity.
You must deal with Allah, the Exalted, as a servant with his Lord.
We say, O Lord, heal my sick one, that's all.
And we humble ourselves before Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and we throw ourselves before Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, not that we set a condition in return.
And the meaning of his words is: if You don't heal me, then I won't pray, I won't give charity, I won't fast.
This is not how the relationship between the servant and the Lord should be.
the Exalted, so we should avoid making vows. Pay attention to this, especially women.
They should stay away from the issue of vows: "If this happens, then I will do that. If this happens, then I will do that." Stay away from it.
Vows are not good, and most scholars consider them disliked, while some consider them forbidden.
