Sheikh, some parents in their treatment lean towards some children over others and differentiate between them. Do you have any advice for parents regarding this?
Some parents treat their children.
Differently from others and make distinctions between them in treatment. What is your advice for such people, honorable Sheikh? Parents are required to have taqwa of Allah regarding their children.
And to be just among them, gentle, and to guide them.
And to bring them happiness and teach them, because they are all under your care, an amana.
It is obligatory for parents to have taqwa of Allah regarding their children.
And they should bear witness in raising them with Islamic upbringing.
And it aims at.
Being good to all of them, without favoritism.
Because they are a group under amana.
It is our duty to believe all together, and to be keen on applying Islamic law, and if they are all in need, it is obligatory to spend on them.
According to their needs, if their father is able to do so.
But for some of them to separate without a valid Islamic reason, just out of desire, is not allowed.
And what is required is: fear Allah, fear Allah, as He said: fear Allah and speak the truth.
It is upon the father and the mother to be careful and seek what is right in
raising the children, spending on the children, and other matters.
But whoever disobeys Allah the Mighty and Majestic and is undutiful to his parents, he does not have the right to obedience and honoring the parents.
From his wealth, and their right is the right of punishment.
And to emphasize, he has no right to the rights of the one who obeyed and was dutiful.
The father disciplines and treats with kindness until he leaves disobedience, and until he becomes upright in being dutiful to his parents.
But the one who is deserving is the one who is content with what he has and is upright in obeying Allah regarding it.
And likewise, if he was wealthy.
No. the right is not in what is given to the poor person.
These children, if they are poor or sick and unable to earn, and their father is able, then we spend on them, but not on the wealthy.
His right is for Allah, so for this reason, the father spends on his poor child, and the mother as well, and he is not unjust or oppressive if.
towards the lender, towards the majority.
Because he cannot, and then the one who is able, who can, he has money to treat himself and take care of himself.
The parents' participation with what Allah has given them of wealth.
As for the poor, like the child and the sick person who does not have what he needs for treatment.
And I am among those who do not find.
Except for his poverty or his illness or.
Which are. not. correct.
And Allah, Verheven en Hoog is Hij, says, the Exalted, in His great Book.
So fear Allah as much as you are able.
And Allah, the Exalted, says: Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.
Should the believer have taqwa of Allah in everything he does and leaves, according to what.
He must be present in both the apparent and the hidden.
With his children or with others.
Rather, he must uphold truth and justice in everything.
