Peace be upon you. The du'a reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the last ten nights— is there a du'a that has been reported from him? And what came in the narration of Aisha, may Allah the Exalted be pleased with her, in the Musnad and the Sunan, that she said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, if I know.

If I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say? He said: Say: O Allah, You are Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me. And this narration, some have also spoken about it.

Likewise, we say that a person in his du'a during the ten nights should be keen on seeking freedom from the Fire and forgiveness, because that is the ultimate goal, and the wiping out of sins and the like. He should be keen on this matter, but a specific du'a.

Specifically from the Prophet, peace be upon him, for Laylat al-Qadr, we say: I do not know of any text about that.

For a specific du'a that the Prophet, peace be upon him, encouraged for Laylat al-Qadr, this is from the mercy of Allah and His kindness, due to the differences in people's needs and their hardships, as well as their goals and sins. So we say: he should ask for forgiveness of sins.

And hope for pardon, and not to be among the people of the Fire, for that is the ultimate goal and purpose. May Allah reward you, Shaykh. Has it been reported.
