Honorable sheikh, what are the rulings regarding a woman who gets her period while performing the rites?
And is it permissible now for her to take pills to prevent her period during this time?
If a woman gets her period after entering ihram, she does everything the pilgrim does.
Except for the circumambulation of the House, and the sa'y that follows it, and the sa'y that follows it.
So if, for example, she gets her period after entering ihram and has not yet reached Mecca.
If she thinks it most likely that she will become pure before the eighth day.
She remains in ihram, but she does not perform tawaf or sa'i until she becomes pure.
And if she thinks it most likely that she will not become pure except after.
Then she enters ihram for Hajj, combining Hajj with Umrah, and becomes a qarinah, as happened with the Mother of the Believers Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her.
As for taking pills to prevent menstruation, there is no harm in that here if needed, provided she consults a doctor.
