With us or with others, and they arrange for someone else to lead the prayer or give the adhan instead of them.
With us, and this might last for days, so what is the ruling here?
There is nothing wrong if he has work, a commitment, or something else, so he tells someone to give the adhan or lead the prayer for him. There is nothing wrong with that; this is delegation.
Or as if he was the one who led the people in prayer, this is one issue. The second issue is that he should not leave or delegate someone unless there are urgent circumstances.
He prays on my behalf and then goes to play or something like that, this is not acceptable, this is a responsibility.
You said you were qualified for it when you applied, so stick to it.
This is the basic principle, and they should not help with this.
Yes, this is another problem, if he delegates to someone who cannot recite properly or cannot call the adhan, this is an even greater disaster.
Or if he just leaves them to do as they wish.
Anyone calls the adhan, anyone leads the prayer for them like that, this is never acceptable.
So he must have taqwa of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. If the imam is absent, he should appoint someone who is capable.
Of leading the prayer, and if the muezzin is absent, he should appoint someone who is capable.
The adhan should not be left neglected, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs should also do the same.
They must supervise these imams and muezzins.
But the problem is, he bought it. This is supposed to be an imam, a role model.
May Allah guide him. Allah is the One we seek help from.
