She says: There is a habit among some people.

It is backbiting and gossip, and there is no one who forbids this evil, and sometimes I hear them while they are talking about people.

These are the ones who eat the flesh of people and attack their honor; they are the people of backbiting.

Backbiting, the Messenger said, is mentioning your brother with what he dislikes. Your backbiting is saying about your brother what he dislikes.

And so. if the Messenger of Allah, if it is in them, he says, if it is in them, you say, then you have backbitten.

And indeed, we are warners against slander.
