About the ruling on the Prophet's birthday celebration, and the ruling on those who do it.
Especially if he is an imam and a khatib in a mosque, and is it permissible to pray behind him?
Because when I tell someone that this is a reprehensible innovation, he gets very upset.
And he argued with a hadith in Muslim about the virtue of fasting on Thursdays and Mondays.
And the point from the hadith is: "It is the day I was born," the hadith.
So what should we do regarding these people, especially since they are from the people of the mosques? Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
May Allah reward you on our behalf and on behalf of the Muslims with goodness.
To mention that among the innovations that have appeared among the people is what comes from the parents.
Among them is the celebration of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ.
It is one of the innovations that have appeared among the Muslims.
It was introduced by the Fatimid Shia.
When they were the rulers of the people in the fourth and fifth centuries.
In support of their views, then some people followed them.
Among the Muslims, the people of the sunnah, and the Prophet ﷺ did not do it, nor did his Companions, neither the rightly guided caliphs nor anyone else.
And likewise, the Muslims did not do it in the three virtuous generations.
And he, peace be upon him, said in the authentic narration: Whoever does an action.
And he, peace be upon him, said: Whoever introduces something new into our matter.
A gathering of chaos is rejected.
Muslims are required to leave that and to care for the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and follow his example.
Remaining upright upon his guidance ﷺ.
As for celebrating, no, and it is ignorance.
And it is one of the innovations that must be abandoned.
What is required from a Muslim is to follow the Messenger ﷺ, to honor his law, to honor his sunnah, and to follow his path.
As Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: Say, if you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.
The Exalted: And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it.
He is the Pardoner and the Forbearing, it is obligatory to love him and follow him.
And to take what he brought, and to beware of what he forbade, this is the duty of the Muslim.
As for innovations, no, the mawlid and no mawlid, innovations in the religion are not permissible.
They must be left, like celebrating the birthday.
And building on graves, making mosques on graves.
And praying at graves, all of these are innovations that people have introduced.
Likewise, the innovation of Isra and Mi'raj on the twenty-seventh of Rajab, celebrating it is also an innovation, it has no basis in the Sharia.
The imam who leads people in prayer should be advised to leave this, but the prayer behind him is valid.
But if he only has this innovation, we say the prayer behind him is valid, because it is an innovation.
It is not disbelief, but if during the mawlid they call upon the Messenger, seeking his help, this is major disbelief.
If he says the Messenger is called upon for help, this will be in the Hereafter.
But simply gathering for the mawlid, sharing food, gathering over food, and reciting poems that do not contain shirk, this is a bid'a.
As for the filth, it is similar to bid'a, like the Burda.
If it contains shirk, and you say: O best of creation, I have no one to turn to but you when calamity strikes.
Destroy me in what I have done, take my hand out of grace, otherwise say: O slip of my foot.
For your existence is the world and its pleasures, and from your knowledge is Allah's knowledge, and he said: your allegiance, this is a disbeliever. We ask Allah for well-being.
The point is that Muslims must beware of shirk and all forms of bid'a, advise each other to abandon them, gain understanding in the religion and learn, and ask the people of knowledge, the people of the sunnah, about these innovations.
