What is the ruling on commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet's ﷺ migration and the anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj?
Every year. It means reminding people.
With the life of the Prophet ﷺ in general—his birth, his death, his migration.
About his battles, his actions ﷺ, all these things are very beautiful and people are reminded of them.
But do not specify a particular day. For example, we can talk about Isra four times a year, why only on this day?
Likewise, the birth of the Prophet ﷺ, you can talk about it more than once, not just on this day.
Also the migration of the Prophet ﷺ, also the sending of the Prophet.
ﷺ, the Battle of Badr, and we have to talk about it on the seventeenth.
Ramadan, we talk about it throughout the year, no, meaning we do not specify this day every year.
But if it happens that we talk about it this year, there is nothing wrong. But next year we should make sure it's at a different time, or talk about it more.
So that we do not end up specifying something that Allah the Blessed and Exalted did not specify, nor did the Prophet.
ﷺ, and he did not celebrate it, nor did he remind people of it at this time every year, nor did the sahaba do it.
That is why we avoid this, so that we do not fall into bid'a, and Allah knows best.
