A question from some sisters asking about the ruling on dancing.
In general and in detail, especially regarding.
Dancing among women, whether it is indecent or not, and whether it is appropriate for a Muslim woman to do this. Dancing is disliked in principle.
But if it is to Western music,
and imitating non-believing women, then it becomes haram.
The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever imitates a people is one of them.
Sometimes it can cause fitna.
She might be a dancer, an attractive, beautiful young woman.
She gave a speech to women, even if it was among women.
Some women act in ways that show they are tempted by her.
And whatever causes fitna, it is forbidden.
This is the answer regarding dancing. If, sheikh, you mean something like the traditional dance, it's similar to that.
A group of women line up, take steps forward, steps back, to the right and to the left.
No, what we mean by dancing is swaying, complete swaying.
Sometimes it even gets close to the ground, then rises, then leans right and left.
As for just slight movement.
This is not considered the kind of dancing we mean.
