The least that can be said is that it is not appropriate to hang up verses, it should not be done.
But if a person does hang up verses, they should be in a respectful place.
For example, the verse should not be placed in a room where the television is on.
Or where images of women appear, or other such things, or gatherings where there is a lot of backbiting or playing or similar things, as if it is disrespectful.
To the Book of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and the Book of Allah was not revealed for this purpose, to be hung up.
Rather, it was revealed to be recited, acted upon, and to be a way of life, and so on.
But if it is hung up to ward off the evil eye, this is one of the innovations.
And if it is for decoration.
And also, "If you are grateful, I will surely increase you," as we said, if it is in a respectful place, and likewise, inshaAllah, there is no problem. But leave it, especially on the car—I never advise it.
Hanging verses on cars, and putting the name of Allah the Exalted—sometimes a bird comes, sometimes a child climbs on the car, and so he steps on the name of Allah the Exalted.
And other things, sometimes the sticker is removed and the name of Allah is torn.
I believe that this is a form of disrespect towards the names of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, and it should never happen. May Allah help us.
