What is the ruling on prayer in the Haram, Sheikh, in the hotel prayer rooms overlooking it? As for the prayers that are in.
places close to the Haram or also in the mosques.
We say that if the rows are connected and people are close together, then there is no problem for a person to pray in his place where he is.
A group of the sahaba of the Prophet ﷺ did this; they prayed alone far from the rows. Among them is what was narrated from Abu Huraira, who prayed on the roof of the mosque.
Some of them also prayed with a road between them and the mosque. This is narrated from Anas ibn Malik and Abdur Rahman ibn Awf.
Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, stated this in his book Al-Umm, and it was also narrated from Imam Ahmad.
It is also narrated from some of the sahaba, like Ammar and others. For this reason, we say: if the rows are connected, and a person wants to pray in his shop, or for example in the street, or for example in a building,
and the rows are close, then his prayer in that place is valid. But if the rows are far apart, the rows are far apart, even if he can see them with his eyes,
but if, for example, there is quiet and no noise, because he cannot hear the voices of the people if they say the takbir, even if there is someone relaying it, then we say that the prayer in that case is not valid, and Allah knows best.
