My anxiety says: What is the ruling on combining the Asr prayer, my sheikh, with the Jumu'ah prayer for the traveler, combining them at the earlier time? Yes.

As for this issue, it needs some introduction. We say that Jumu'ah.

In principle, it is only obligatory for the people of villages and cities, but as for the traveler, Jumu'ah is not obligatory for him.

And this is what appears from the actions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, for he never prayed Jumu'ah while traveling.

Nor did his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, do so either, and this is what their practice was. So we say that Jumu'ah is not obligatory for the traveler, but if a traveler happens to catch a mosque where Jumu'ah is being prayed, and it is a city,

passing through, like for example someone visiting Mecca or Medina and then wants to pray, and finds the people praying Jumu'ah, what should he do? We say: the most apparent view is that he prays with them with the intention of Dhuhr.

So it becomes shortened Dhuhr, two rak'ahs, then he prays Asr after that. But if someone prays Jumu'ah with the intention of Jumu'ah, then wants to combine it with Asr prayer.

We say: you do not combine Asr prayer with Jumu'ah, because Jumu'ah is a separate time, different from Dhuhr prayer.

It is different from Dhuhr prayer, and for this reason we say that what is related

to this, to this, and combining two separate prayers, like combining Fajr and Dhuhr, or combining Fajr and Isha, these two are not combined.

For this reason, we say that if he prays it as Jumu'ah with the intention of Jumu'ah, then he prays Asr at its time when its time enters, and as for Jumu'ah before that, there is no harm in repeating it.

And I do not know anyone from the salaf who said that Jumu'ah is combined.

To combine the Friday prayer with Asr, or Asr with the Friday prayer, this was not done by the sahaba nor the tabi'in. This is one of the issues that appeared later, and they started to compare it to the Dhuhr prayer. And Allah knows best.
