Peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of Allah. May Allah welcome you. I was asked about praying behind people of bid'a.
When 'Uthman was besieged.
May Allah be pleased with him in the year thirty-five after the Hijra.
The people of fitna were leading the prayer for the people.
Then 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Adi ibn al-Khiyar entered.
To 'Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: An imam of fitna is leading the people in prayer.
Those people who besieged Uthman were the ones.
In a way, they were running the country, they were the ones leading the people in prayer. So he said: The one leading the prayer is an imam of fitna, what do you think? He said: Pray behind them, it is for you and against them.
And know that the best of your deeds is prayer, and prayer behind an innovator is valid.
Basically, as long as he is a Muslim and has not left the fold of Islam, but if a person finds.
An imam of bid'a and an imam of the sunnah, he should never pray behind the innovator. It is not allowed, regardless of his innovation. Rather, he should pray behind the follower of the sunnah.
But if it is not possible to find a Sunni imam and there is only an imam of bid'a.
And there is no other mosque except this one, or something similar, then there is no harm in praying behind him as long as he is still within the circle.
of Islam, and your prayer is valid and he is responsible for
his innovation, and the knowledge is with Allah, Verheven en Hoog is Hij, and peace and mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.
