The question that Amal asked is about reading the Quran.
In the Tafsir of Sa'di or the simplified Tafsir during menstruation. We say: there are two types of tafsir, tafsir that is mostly the words of the commentator.
As for the second type, it is tafsir that is less than the words of Allah the Exalted, and this is usually in the meanings of words.
Or perhaps the summarized tafsir that is even shorter than the verse, giving a quick, general meaning or something similar. For example, you come to a long story like Yusuf, or to the verse about debt.
It is long, but the tafsir is in two lines, and so on. We say this is Quran, so it depends on the amount.
If the tafsir is more than the Quran, then the ruling is for the tafsir, and there is no problem for her to touch it, even if she is menstruating.
Or in a state of major impurity, or if she has lost her wudu. But if the Quran is more, and the meanings of the words are only in the margins, even if it is called, for example, "Meanings of the Words of the Quran" or "Tafsir of the Quran."
And if the majority is Quran, then we say: it takes the ruling of the Quran.
As for those few words, they are like the decorative elements that are originally found in the Quran, so their presence does not affect its status as a mushaf. And Allah knows best. Thank you.
