The brother's question is: he performed tawaf, sheikh, but did not pray two rak'ahs. Is there anything required of him? The two rak'ahs are sunnah according to the majority of scholars, except for Malik, as Imam Malik considers them obligatory and believes that whoever leaves them must offer a sacrifice.

The more apparent view is that the two rak'ahs after tawaf are sunnah, and this is the opinion of the majority of scholars, and it is also what appears from the practice of the sahaba, may Allah be pleased with them.
