Cutting women's hair, if she cuts it until it becomes like the head of a boy.
Meaning she cuts it very short.
Until it becomes like the heads of men, then that is haram for her.
Rather, it is one of the major sins, because the Prophet ﷺ.
Cursed women who imitate men.
And likewise, if she cuts it until it becomes like the heads of disbelieving women.
It is forbidden for her, because the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever imitates a people is one of them.
But if the intention is something that does not result in either of these.
The scholars differed on this in three opinions.
The first opinion is that it is haram, the second that it is disliked.
And the third is that it is permissible, but piety is that a woman should not cut any of the hair on her head.
Rather, she should leave it as it is.
