Women visiting graves in general is forbidden, in fact it is one of the major sins.
Because the Prophet ﷺ cursed women who visit graves.
And this woman who remained sad over the loss of her son, because she did not attend his funeral.
This only happened to her because of the shaytan.
And if she goes, for example, and visits her son, will she see her son?
She will not see him, so what is the benefit?
And if the intention is to be absolved, we say to her,
you will receive du'a while you are at home.
But the shaytan urges her on.
And he disturbs her until she goes to the grave.
Then, when she goes to the grave, I do not see her gaining anything except more sadness and attachment to the grave.
And she might repeat the visit because of that.
For this reason, we give advice to this mother and say to her: seek your reward with Allah and be patient.
For to Allah belongs what He takes and to Him belongs what He leaves.
And everything with Him has an appointed term.
And make a lot of du'a for your son.
And say what Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her, said.
O Allah, reward me in my calamity and grant me something better than it in return.
For there is no servant who says that except that Allah will reward him in his calamity and grant him something better in its place.
Yes, if a woman passes by a cemetery.
And she stops and prays for them, then there is nothing wrong with that.
But if she leaves her house with the intention of visiting the cemetery or visiting a specific grave.
That is haram, rather it is one of the major sins. Yes.
