What is the ruling on women visiting the grave of the Prophet ﷺ?
Some scholars believe that women visiting the grave of the Prophet ﷺ is not considered a visit.
Because there are three walls between us and the grave of the Messenger.
And visiting the deceased is when a person stands at his grave.
Based on this, it is not considered a visit.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyya, may Allah have mercy on him, pointed this out.
As far as I know, in his statement that the cemetery which is fenced off, or the one that has a wall between you and it, your visit to it from behind the wall is not considered an actual visit.
And with this, some scholars answered the statement of the jurists, may Allah have mercy on them.
It is recommended to visit the grave of the Prophet ﷺ, even for women.
They said that this is not the real visit.
Because between the person standing outside the chamber and the grave,
there are three roots.
But according to custom, it is called a visit, no doubt, and it is said: a woman visited the grave of the Prophet, so we see that out of caution,
she should not visit the grave of the Prophet ﷺ.
And she should suffice with sending peace upon him even from afar, because Allah, the Exalted, has appointed noble, trustworthy angels
who receive the greetings from the umma and deliver them to
