What is the wisdom behind the Prophet ﷺ making wudu before.?
Ghusl. Allah knows best, meaning the matter of the wisdom behind making wudu.
Before ghusl, but the scholars mentioned that wudu lessens the state of janaba.
Wudu. And Umar asked the Prophet ﷺ: Can one of us sleep while in a state of janaba?
Without making ghusl? He said: Yes, if he makes wudu.
So wudu lessens the state of janaba; it starts by lessening janaba, then after that comes ghusl.
