By Allah, the leader of the people has come to you. If he follows you, he will not enter.
Two of them stay behind. Welcome to you.
We saw you in a place far from us, as if you refuse to come closer and listen. By Allah, Abu Mama, if it were not for the kinship between you and me, you would not have dared this from me.
Do you come to us in our home with what we dislike?
Or do you sit and listen?
If you are pleased with something and desire it.
You accept it, even if you dislike it.
We have removed from you what you recite.
Our Lord.
Clothing.
Messenger of Allah! Messenger of Allah! Look, he has arrived. Who is that with him?
The uncle of the events, son of Abdul Muttalib.
O people of Aws and Khazraj, by Allah, my nephew is protected by his people, Banu Hashim.
But he chose you and preferred to migrate to your land with his companions.
If you see that you will protect him as you protect yourselves, your women, and your children,
then come to him and pledge allegiance to him on that.
And on what he stipulates for himself and for his Lord.
Otherwise, we are more entitled to him.
And this migration that is happening now to Yathrib is not like the migration to Abyssinia. Rather, the companions of Muhammad are migrating to.
to a great village a few days' journey from you, and to a large tribe of the Arabs who still envy Quraysh for their position in the land of the sanctuary.
And they see themselves as your equals.
Except that they are from Yemen and you are from Mudar.
And they have kept themselves busy with their own disputes, wars, and conflicts.
Until they believed in Muhammad and their word became united.
And they are the leaders of people of war and strength.
And it has become clear that Muhammad has commanded his Companions to all migrate.
Except if a man is prevented from doing so.
And what will you do when their numbers are complete in Yathrib?
And Muhammad joins them, so everyone follows him.
He gained authority and rule.
The path of the Aws and Khazraj leads to you.
They will fight you themselves and with their own children.
So if we supplicate against them with a harsh supplication,
It will be said: these are your people with them.
So they became a single group united in the religion of Muhammad.
This.
And your trade, O people of Quraysh.
If we return with you to al-Sham, you will pass near Yathrib, and we will no longer feel safe about it.
And Mecca will be emptied of half its people, so we will lose their trade and also lose the trade of Yathrib with them.
You know that they are a people of agriculture, not trade.
And they used to buy from you. Or did you think they would oppose you in religion and then come to you during the seasons to buy from you?
As for those from our people who went to them, they gain nothing from that agriculture.
And it will not be long before they start in Yathrib a trade like ours, becoming independent from us, and those Arabs living near them will also become independent through it.
Do you not ask who drove them to this? I once advised you and said: leave him and the Arabs alone.
If they defeat him, then you are spared, and if he prevails, then his honor is your honor.
But you refused, and now here you are, changing your minds and not finding guidance to me.
Yes, we know the opinion.
We will not let Muhammad and those of his Companions who remain migrate.
Even if it means using the sword this time.
And we start with the people of our own households, preventing them from migrating. As for those who escape.
He has made his home and his belongings lawful for us.
And whatever wealth, weapons, land, and water he leaves behind.
And livestock and animals.
And did you decide that I should let you both migrate? What would you know if I did? I cannot bear to be separated from my two children.
And if this had worked out for me, I would not have needed you, but you ruined it.
There is no power and no strength except with Allah. And as for you, you are safe and well with me.
We do not know how this matter will end.
I will sit with you from time to time.
I will keep you company and you will keep me company, except that your feet are free to pursue falsehood.
And our feet are chained from the truth. Don't you say so?
There is no barrier, no intermediary, and no closeness between you and Allah, so what difference does it make if you are free or imprisoned? There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
Is that all you can say? I fear that if I make du'a for myself and my brother, it might turn against you, and the du'a of the oppressed has no barrier between it and Allah.
There is still goodness in you for your father.
We're back to this.
And returning is not praiseworthy. There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
I complain to Allah about my father, and I seek Allah's help against him.
Make du'a for him for my sake. Woe to me.
How did I give my hand to my father and Banu Amir? Take it easy on yourself. Between me and migration is this chain.
This! If you don't want to be gentle with yourself, then be gentle with me.
Have you decided on migration? Yes. Where is your companion on the road?
But I am not able to leave openly in front of the people's eyes, especially in front of Abu al-Hakam, so I will set an appointment with you at a place where we can meet.
What did your brother Salama do? We thought he should conceal my departure, so Abu al-Hakam would not be suspicious. Once he feels safe, he will join us, if Allah wills. That's fine.
Our meeting place is at the Tanadib, among the trees of Banu Ghifar, above the valley. If Allah wills.
Peace be upon you and the mercy.
Look at the faces.
May Allah only humble these noses.
Know that I am migrating.
Whoever wants his mother to lose him,
his child to become an orphan, or his wife to become a widow,
let him meet me behind this valley.
By Allah, you knew and you concealed it from him.
By my life, you wanted to join him.
But rejoice, I will bring you news from him.
So you and he will be the same.
Hayat! Abu al-Hakam.
Why have you come after me? You know I will never return with you, and you have no authority in this village, so go back now. Woe to you.
Your mother and mine. By Allah.
By Allah, nothing else brought me here. I left her in the worst state.
Grieving over your separation. She vowed not to comb her hair until
and not to seek shade from the sun until
And did she do that? Yes, by Allah. Woe to you.
It's as if you have softened and believed. By Allah, those people only want to turn you away from your religion, so beware of them.
By Allah, if lice had harmed your mother, you would not have gone far, and if the heat of Mecca had become too much for her, she would have sought shade.
How bold you are, Umar, to come between brothers.
He is my brother. And he is my brother, not yours. Leave this for now.
You have heard from me.
I do not think my brother lies, for I am the most beloved of Allah's creation to me. I will go and fulfill my mother's oath, and I have money there, so take it. As for the money, half of it is yours, but do not go with him.
Rather, I will go with him and entrust my affair to Allah.
But if you have made up your mind.
Take my camel, for she is a noble and gentle camel. Stay on her back, and if you sense any suspicion from the people, escape on her.
Your lie.
I promised you that I would bring you news from him, so you and I would be equal.
Enjoy the companionship. Some of you are more deserving of each other.
Yes, some of us are more deserving of each other. May Allah reward you, O Umar.
How foolish you are, O Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi'ah, how foolish you are.
We lock him up in chains and shut a door on him. No, no, no, no.
We exile him to the farthest land. What is this? That is not an opinion either.
So give us your opinion, Abu al-Hakam.
I think we should take from every tribe
a strong young man,
someone noble and moderate among us.
Then we give each of those young men a sharp sword.
Then they go to him and strike him with it all at once.
So they kill him and we are relieved of him.
If they do that,
his blood will be spread among all the tribes.
The sons of Abd Manaf would not be able to fight all their people, so they would accept the blood money from us.
So the one who forbade them left them.
The footsteps have quieted, my father.
I already know where my appointment is with Bismillah.
By Allah, I would not like to have as much gold as the earth in exchange for being with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
We are patient until he comes out.
Dawn is near, O king.
Come on, Muhammad! Come on, Muhammad!
Come on, Muhammad. Madi has come out.
You.
Were you in his bed?
Where is your father? I don't know where my father is.
I hope no one has noticed you.
Come on, hurry and tie the travel bag far away, because I fear the people might catch up with us.
I forgot to make a strap to hang this with. Do you have something for it?
We have promised a hundred camels to whoever catches him and brings him back.
Yes! A hundred camels! Did you hear? A hundred camels!
It is forbidden.
Wait, let me speak to you.
I am Suraqa ibn Malik, and by Allah, I will not harm you nor will anything come from me that you dislike.
Your people have placed a reward of one hundred camels for whoever finds your companion and brings him back.
I was hoping to get it, and now I know.
That he is protected from the people, so no one can reach him.
If you wish, I can provide you with food and supplies.
May Allah bless your wealth, but.
Hide us if you are going to do it. I will, I will.
How will it be for you, Suraqa, when you wear the bracelets of Kisra? Kisra?
Kisra, the ruler of Persia? I hope to tell you, and.
And he saw you coming.
Go back from this path.
I have not left a place on it except that I looked in it, and I did not see anyone.
I am one of the people with the sharpest eyesight and the most knowledgeable about this land, and my horse is the fastest.
O people! O people!
Whoever has left a trust with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ,
let him come to me so I can return it to him.
For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has left me in charge of his trusts and deposits.
And I am the one who longs for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the most.
If I did not know that Allah, the Exalted, protects him, I would have feared calamity for him, for we have waited for him so long.
Everything is by decree.
Messenger of Allah! The Messenger of Allah has arrived!
Umar.
Umar. Ali.
The beloved of the Messenger of Allah, his cousin and his brother, how happy I am to meet you.
Now the group is complete.
And today, the Messenger of Allah will be the happiest of people at your arrival. Where is he?
Take me to him. I think he is in the mosque he built in Quba.
I was on my way to him. Mosque.
Yes, the first mosque where we gather for prayer.
We do not fear for ourselves.
When will he enter, Farid? Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
And Allah willed that he would not enter it except with his beloved and his brother Ali.
How are your feet? Didn't you find a ride to carry you? Allah helped me and my feet carried me.
May Allah reward you.
May Allah reward you, cousin of the Messenger of Allah.
O Muhammad, Messenger of Allah.
For. capabilities.
Gratitude is required from us.
O peace of Medina.
O Messenger of Allah, stay with us in numbers and strength. Have you not heard the Messenger of Allah.
Leave it, for it is commanded. So let it go, may Allah guide you.
O Muhammad! O Muhammad! O Messenger of Allah!
O Messenger of Allah, you will not find a tribe stronger or more numerous than us, so stay with us, may Allah send blessings upon you, and you will find what you love. The Messenger of Allah has commanded that it should not stop except where Allah commands it to stop.
So let it go, may Allah guide you.
Glory be to Allah.
My house, my house, O Messenger of Allah, my house is nearby where you have blessed it.
Congratulations to you, Abu Ayyub, Allah has favored you with the Messenger of Allah staying at your place. O Allah, to You belongs all praise.
Congratulations to you on the arrival of your Prophet, O Abu Hubab. Rather, he is your Prophet, we have nothing to do with him.
He is not one of us, we are Jews. Weren't you always arguing with us that a Prophet would appear in this time and you would prevail through him?
So this is what you used to claim.
As for what we expected, it was a Prophet from among us, not from you. As for this one, by the Lord of Musa.
Even if he brought us every sign, we would not accept it from him.
And I am with you, I do not accept it.
The thing that unites us with you is the religion, O Abu Habbab.
What unites us today is that we hate this religion.
That this man has brought.
And your religion is better in our eyes than his religion, but we pretend.
We go along and scheme at night.
Our agreement is that the Prophet acts.
That is misleading action. If we sit while the Prophet acts,
that is misleading action.
From delusion.
His father, standing and sitting, maintains the populated mosques.
He was there, standing and sitting.
The judge and the Prophet were working, and for us, there is organized work.
We sat while the Prophet was working, and for you is the work.
There is no life except the life of the Hereafter. O Allah, have mercy on the Ansar and the Muhajirun.
If we live the life of the Hereafter.
O Allah, have mercy on the Ansar and the Muhajirun.
And the Prophet is working, our deeds have reached you.
We sat with the Prophet.
From us you have the misguided deed, there is no life except the life of the Hereafter.
O Allah, have mercy on the Ansar and the Muhajirun.
There is no life except the life of the Hereafter. O Allah, have mercy on the Ansar and the Muhajirun.
Now, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made brotherhood between the Muhajirun and the Ansar.
And each of you knew his brother whom the Prophet named for him.
So let some of you turn to others.
Brothers, united in this world, nothing separates you except death.
Each of you loves for his brother what he loves for himself.
And he prefers him with his advice and his wealth.
Perhaps Allah will unite you in the Hereafter as brothers.
On couches facing each other.
This is a letter from Muhammad the Prophet.
Between the believers and Muslims from Quraysh and Yathrib.
And whoever follows them and joins them.
And he strives with them. They are one umma to the exclusion of other people, and the protection of Allah is one.
The least of them may grant protection, and the believers are allies to one another.
And whoever among the Jews follows us, he will have help and fairness, as long as they are not wronged nor others unite against them.
And the Jews are responsible for their own expenses.
And the Muslims are responsible for their own expenses, and between them is mutual support against anyone who fights the people of this document.
How excellent this is! We have all come under his authority by means of this document, while before we were rulers in our own forts and neighborhoods.
By the Lord of Musa, the scales have been turned upside down. We used to see ourselves as above the Arabs and the idol worshippers.
We would say: We have a book that we read.
And we have prophets whose stories we recount, but now they say.
We have a book that is revealed from Allah just as the Torah was revealed to Musa, except that it is the last one by which the messages were completed.
It is for all of humanity, and we have a prophet who is the brother of Musa, addressed by the greatest lawgiver who addressed Musa.
But he is the final one, after whom there will be no prophet.
