Your parents have died.

Abu al-Hakam was never defeated, not even once.

So I will not let you defeat me as well, until I hear from you a word in which you insult Muhammad ﷺ.

By Allah, you are better than the two men.

Our sons have dared against us? Muhammad! Muhammad has embarrassed us and forced us.

He did not blame us for anything about himself. What does he want? We offered him money, women, and power, but he refused. Why, Wahshi?

These are fortunes. If you do not kill him, he will be freed.

It will not harm you. I used to see myself as stronger and tougher than him.

Then I saw from both of them what I was unable to do, and I used to rush for freedom, thinking he had become accustomed to it.

Now here he is, having reached his goal before me.

Whoever is freed from the chains of his master before being freed from his religion, if you wish, do as he did.

Submit, how little sense you have, woman.

And you think that if it worked once, it will work again.

Then there would be no slave left in Mecca. Do you not know what Quraysh does to its sons who have submitted?

So will they let the servant spend the night in better conditions than their own sons, or hope for himself what they do not hope for?

I want nothing but my freedom, and I will pursue it in a safe way.

And what is that? I will stay under my master's conditions and strive to please him.

Perhaps he will grant me freedom with satisfaction and dignity.

How long will we endure their oppression? How long?

We used to have honor while we were idolaters, but when we believed, we became humiliated. Shouldn't the Messenger of Allah allow us to fight them? Stick to the Messenger of Allah, Sa'd.

He commanded us to refrain from them, and Allah even forbade us from insulting them, so they would not insult Allah out of hostility and ignorance.

And indeed, the Messenger of Allah was sent as a guide, a bringer of glad tidings, and a warner.

His situation with his people is like that of a doctor with his patient.

He tries to give him medicine, but he refuses. If he loves him, as the Prophet loved his people.

He turned away from him, sad and regretful.

He does not say, "Let him die from his illness," as long as he refuses.

And I saw that whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced more harm from his people,

his sadness for them increased, and there is no man

who made a du'a except that he had a share of it for himself,

except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for he would call them.

For their sake, not for his own. And Allah.

Will make His religion prevail without a doubt, as He promised.

So how will the religion prevail if this group perishes fighting the idolaters, while today we are few in number?

How is it possible, when Quraysh has not yet heard this Quran recited aloud to them?

So is there a man who will listen to their concerns? I am. What?

After what Abu Jahl did to you, today he is of little importance to me.

We fear them for your sake. We only want a man who has a tribe to protect him.

From the people if they want him? Leave me.

For Allah will protect me.

The Most Merciful, taught the Quran, created man.

Taught him speech, the sun and the moon move by precise calculation.

And the stars and the trees perform sujud, and He raised the sky and set the balance, so do not transgress in the balance.

And establish the balance with justice and do not fall short in the balance. And the earth, He laid it out for all creatures. In it are fruits and date palms with sheathed clusters.

And grain with husk and sweet-scented plants. So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?

He created man from clay like pottery.

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?

Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests. So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?

He let the two seas meet, between them is a barrier they do not transgress.

So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? What does Ibn Na't say? He does not seek the greatest of what Muhammad brought, even though it has come.

Herding sheep? Among us and we leave him? No, by Allah and by might! Everyone on it will perish.

Only the Face of your Lord, full of majesty and honor, will remain. So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? All those in the heavens and the earth ask Him.

Every day He is engaged in a matter. So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
