It is obligatory for a rational person to make use of his time in what will be a cause for the pleasure of his Lord, Verheven en Hoog is Hij.

So that when certainty comes to him, it comes while he is in the best state. The night and the day are like two mounts.

And two storerooms in which good and evil are stored, and they deliver the servant to the end. The rational person, brothers, takes account.

He takes account of his days and does not show them how he spent them. Was it in obedience to Allah? Was it in disobedience to Allah? If it was in obedience to Allah, let him praise Allah for that and continue upon it.

And let them ask for steadfastness until death. It is proper for him to protect them and preserve them, and not waste them except in what benefits him.

Whether in word or deed, because whoever is tested with sins.

In the time of his health and the vigor of his youth, he might persist in these sins, but when the time comes when he needs obedience, he finds himself bankrupt.

Empty-handed, unable to testify at death. We ask Allah for well-being. Hold yourself accountable: are you someone who constantly returns to Allah and guards yourself? Are you someone who always turns back to Allah? Whenever you feel a sin or shortcoming, do you hasten to repent?

Hold yourself accountable, for the wise person and the one with a responsive heart is the one who values these matters.

For his turning to Allah, and for his appreciation of the great good in time for those who preserve it, and the great danger for those who waste it. So I urge myself and you, servants of Allah, to benefit creation.

By giving us some enjoyment in a permissible way, and so on. Whoever wastes his time, his affairs are wasted.

And he loses knowledge, and he misses the opportunities in which the intelligent gain much good. We ask Allah to make us and you among those who fill their time with obedience to their Lord.

And to keep us firm upon that until death, and to take care of us in this world and the Hereafter, for He is capable of all things. And I ask Him, the Exalted, by His most beautiful names and highest attributes, to make us and you among these righteous people.

And to rectify all our hearts and deeds, and to grant all of us the ability to preserve our time.

And to occupy it with obedience to Allah, and to protect it from what Allah has forbidden.

And to help us with everything that pleases Allah and brings us closer to Him. I also ask Him, the Exalted, to rectify the condition of the Muslims everywhere.

And to appoint the best among them as their leaders, to rectify their leaders, and to grant success to the rulers and scholars of the Muslims.
