Sudan had two miscarriages, the first time the fetus was about a month old, and the second time about two months and a bit. You say she didn't know the ruling, so she would leave the prayer during the forty days of postpartum bleeding.
What should she do? And regarding the miscarried baby, was it by choice or was it out of necessity?
So we say that if the soul had been breathed into the fetus and then it miscarried or was aborted,
then what comes out of her is postpartum bleeding, and there is no disagreement about that, no disagreement, and no disagreement about that. So we say at that point: the blood that comes out of her is postpartum bleeding, but if.
the miscarriage happened before the soul was breathed in, meaning in the early months or early weeks, and it miscarried, is the blood that comes out of the woman postpartum bleeding or irregular bleeding?
She does not have to refrain from what the menstruating woman and the woman in postpartum bleeding refrain from, and this is an area of disagreement among the scholars.
The reference in this matter, as it appears, is to the medical experts. If they say that the blood which comes out of a woman when her fetus is miscarried before the soul is breathed into it,
is similar to the blood that comes out after the soul is breathed in, then in that case it is considered postpartum bleeding. But if they say that the blood which comes out is different from that and is not postpartum bleeding, rather it is blood from the veins and wounds,
then in that case it is like the blood from injuries that occur to the body. In this case, she should clean herself and be cautious, then perform the prayers that are obligatory upon her. And Allah knows best.
