You use the past tense form, okay, in the Noble Qur'an, for example, when people enter jannah or when people enter the Fire.
The Prophet ﷺ said: When the people of jannah enter jannah, a caller will call out: O people of jannah, do you know death? When they appear in the form of a ram or something like that, okay.
And they said: Praise be to Allah, who has made us inherit the earth, so we may settle in jannah.
Wherever we wish. They said it's in the past tense even though it hasn't happened yet. This is said when something is certain to happen, so there's nothing wrong with using the past tense.
