The third question says: If a woman is traveling and wants to combine her prayers, what is better for her: combining at the earlier time or the later time?
As for a person while traveling, it depends on his situation; it differs from person to person, so it is according to what is easier for him.
For example, if it is easier for him, if he has stopped at a certain place.
And he wants to move from this place to another, and the prayer time has entered, then it is better for him to combine the prayers at the earlier time. But if the person is on the move,
while traveling, then in that case, combining at the later time is better. Some examples can be taken from this, such as the Prophet's combining of prayers at Arafah.
The Prophet ﷺ combined the prayers there at the earlier time.
As for when the Prophet ﷺ moved on after sunset, he combined the prayers as a delayed combination and did that in Muzdalifah. So we say in such a case, if a person is traveling quickly,
and he is not allowed to stop, then it is better for him to combine the prayers as a delayed combination. But if a person is in a place where he has set down his belongings,
then in that case, it is better for him to combine the prayers as an advanced combination, with the scholars agreeing that both ways are permissible in both situations.
Meaning, whether he combines as an advanced or delayed combination, if it is connected to an act of worship, such as in the matter of Hajj,
the issue known regarding Arafah and also Muzdalifah, some scholars specified this example from the Prophet ﷺ as being part of the rituals, but we say regarding the basis of travel,
what is it? We say the ruling is that both advancing and delaying are allowed.
However, we clarify one of the situations: some people combine the prayers in their homes while still residing there, before they begin their journey.
We say that this situation is not valid. But if a person intends to travel, leaves his house, puts down his belongings, and then sets out, then at that point it is permissible for him to combine the prayers as an early combination.
Or he may delay what he needs to combine as a delayed combination; that is permissible in the situations previously mentioned. And Allah knows best.
