Whoever reaches Arafah after sunset? The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever stands there at any hour of the night or day, his Hajj is complete. This was also narrated from Umar ibn al-Khattab.
May Allah be pleased with him, as narrated by Sa'id ibn Mansur in the Sunan, when he was standing at Arafah and a man came to him at night after Umar ibn al-Khattab had prayed Fajr, and he said.
The man said, "I stood at Arafah." He said, "No." He said, "Go and stand here, then come to us." So Umar ibn al-Khattab stood after Fajr prayer on his mount, saying: Has the man come?
He kept standing until the man came, then he left. His standing was at night. We say: Whoever stands.
Whoever stands before Fajr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice.
So we say his standing is valid, even if it is for a moment, whether he is just passing by or passes from one side and then turns around.
So he entered it, and we say: it is valid, provided that this happens before the dawn of the Day of Sacrifice. The man who came to Umar ibn al-Khattab came to him before the dawn prayer, then Umar ibn al-Khattab prayed fajr and waited for that man. This is evidence for.
the permissibility and validity of that, even if it is less virtuous. The best is for a person to stand in Arafah.
And that is during the time of standing. We have a preferred time and a less preferred time. The preferred time is to stand after the sun passes its zenith.
Until sunset. The less preferred is before the zenith and after sunset. And Allah knows best.
